The short version
Couple Widget lets two people send each other short notes that appear on a Home Screen widget. Your notes are shared only with the partner you pair with. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Who we are
Couple Widget is made by Mikalai Ivanovich. If you have any questions about this policy, write to ivanovichdev@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your Apple sign-in. You sign in with Apple. We receive an identifier for your account and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address, which may be a private relay address.
- Your profile. The name you enter, which is shown to your partner, and your birth date. We use the birth date only to check that you are old enough to use the app.
- Your pairing. A six-character code that identifies you and the link between your account and your partner’s.
- Your notes. The text of the note you send, the time it was sent, and how many notes you have sent today, so the daily limit and the pause between notes work. Each of you has one current note, and a new note replaces the previous one.
- Widget data. A secret that lets your widget read your partner’s latest note, and the push token that Apple provides for your widget, so that we can update it when a new note arrives.
- Usage analytics. We use Amplitude to record a few product events: signing in, the onboarding steps you view, completing onboarding and sending a note. These events are linked to an anonymous account identifier and to your device. They never include the text of your notes, and we do not use advertising identifiers or session recordings.
How we use it
- To deliver each note to your partner’s widget and to show your name on it.
- To pair you with your partner and keep you paired.
- To apply the daily note limit and the pause between notes.
- To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, based on the analytics events above.
- To answer you when you contact us.
Who can see your notes
Only you and the partner you paired with. We do not publish notes, and there are no public profiles, feeds or followers. Access to the database is protected by row level security, so one account cannot read another account’s data except as described here.
Service providers
- Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your profile, pairing and notes are stored there.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and delivers push updates to your widget.
- Amplitude receives the analytics events described above.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. A new note replaces your previous one, so we keep only your latest note. If a pairing ends, the couple and its notes are deleted. Widget registrations that have no push token and have not been updated for 30 days are deleted automatically.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us to delete your account and all of its data by writing to ivanovichdev@gmail.com. We will confirm by email once it is done.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Write to us and we will help.
- You can stop sharing your name and email address with us in your Apple ID settings under Sign in with Apple.
Children
Couple Widget is not intended for children under 13. The app checks your birth date, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
